The Globe provided the perfect setting for an intimate industry dinner for over 50 Abbott (previously St. Jude Medical) technicians and staff to get together, share some stories and enjoy each other’s company. With delegates flying in from all over Australia for the Perth leg of the CSANZ Annual Scientific Meeting, The Globe provided a central venue for the intimate industry dinner less than a minutes’ walk from Perth Station.

Boasting Wellington Street frontage separate from the main bar on a busy Friday night, The Globe’s Lounge function space provided a private bar and seated 50 people comfortably with access to multiple TV screens and AV facilities readily available for the formalities of the event. As a venue, The Globe were extremely pleasant to deal with and combined with their helpful staff and impressive menu, would suit any corporate or private event of 50 seated to 100 cocktail capacity. The educational component of the night saw a quiz, competitions and speakers from various background take the microphone to share their stories and experiences both within Abbott ranks and the wider industry. Abbott provided their own props to complement our range with pacemakers and various other medical equipment making their way into the corporate photobooth. The product placement was worked into the nights proceedings with the guests voting on the most creative use of Abbott’s equipment as props in the photobooth.

This activity certainly made the creative juices flow with laughter and banter among each group certainly added value to the evening as a team building exercise.
