Saturday 6 April saw the City of Subiaco in conjunction with SUBIaction and See Subiaco staged their annual Subiaco Street Party.

Adept Photo Booths were in the thick of the action with a Photo Booth with GreenScreen activation with our friends at Network 10 who embraced the community event just around the corner from their head offices.

40,000 people attended the Subiaco Street Party in 2018 with the 2019 event also delivering a strong crowd and vibrant community event with market stalls, entertainment and various food options with a multicultural ‘Around The World’ vibe along four corridors of the ‘Americas’, ‘Mediterranean’, ‘Asian’ and ‘Australiana’ streets.

Sections of Rockeby Road, Kenworthy Lane, Seddon Street car par and Hay Street in the Subiaco Town Centre were closed for the event which delivered a hype of activity from 2.00pm to 9.00pm.

Network 10 had a strong presence with their vibrant beach umbrellas and marquee in the centre of the ‘Down Under’ zone. After working with Network 10 before, we knew that they had a great sense of fun and engagement aligned with their brand, so we loved talking through some of the creative possibilities for this particular event.

A new season of one Network 10’s marquee shows, Bachelor in Paradise, was due to air for the first time the following weeks which provided a perfect opportunity to develop an activation to engage the attendees of the party.

The brief for this activation was to engage the viewers of the show and also raise awareness of upcoming season among the Street Party goers.

After throwing around a couple of creative ideas, Network 10 decided to recreate the promotional poster of Bachelor in Paradise where the photo booth user could create a photo or GIF of them posing as a star in the series.

This green screen photo booth activation was a lot of fun for everyone that used it and provided some great sharable content through users sharing to social media after immediately receiving their photo via SMS or email.

The activation went for three hours where we took over 114 photos delivering a reach of 8,954 and nearly 30,000 social impressions. All of this data was reportable back to Network 10 who are always looking to evaluate their activations and use this data to continue to improve their already impressive event engagement.

Over all, we thought that it was a really engaging and effective activation to be a part of but it is what our clients think that counts:

“I have booked with Adept Photo Booths twice for corporate event activations and he has been a pleasure to work with.”

“Colin is proactive and creative in his assistance, making useful suggestions and offering his expertise across the board from planning to execution and wrap up.”

“The green screen photo booth was a great addition to our activation at the Subiaco Street Party – it was compact, easy to set up and simple for guests to participate and share.” – Laura Heys, Network 10
